Position Summary
The Apprentice position at Architectural Metals, Inc. (AMI) is an entry-level field role focused on personal and professional development while supporting exterior envelope field operations. This position is designed for individuals eager to learn the trade, gain hands-on experience, and grow within the company. Under the guidance of a Foreman, Apprentices develop foundational skills and prepare for increased responsibility as they advance in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
Field Support & Learning
Assist in the installation of metal wall panels, architectural cladding, and other exterior envelope systems.
Support Foremen and field crews with daily jobsite tasks.
Demonstrate a strong desire to learn, ask questions, and develop new skills.
Apply instruction and feedback to continuously improve performance.
Safety & Jobsite Standards
Follow all safety protocols and participate in required safety training.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Use proper tools and PPE appropriate for assigned tasks.
Professional Conduct
Arrive on time each day, ready to begin work at the designated start time.
Maintain a professional attitude and positive, servant-minded approach.
Come prepared with the proper tools, PPE, and mindset to contribute to crew productivity.
Represent AMI with professionalism on the jobsite.
